Hey new friends! Whether you're getting hitched, gearing up for some family photo shenanigans, or planning a branding shoot for your business, you've probably got questions – and lucky for you, I've got the answers.

  • Think of me as your visual storyteller, blending documentary vibes with a dab of classic charm. In addition to a few traditional looking-at-the-camera portraits, my real shining work is to see (and capture) your real, unfiltered moments.

  • If you’ve enjoyed looking through the galleries (link to page) on this website and wanna hang out after reading through on my about page (link to page), that’s a pretty good sign. The next step would be to set up a meeting either in person or using video chat (I’m a Google Meet girl) so we can talk further. Connecting with my clients is so very important because we’ll be spending a lot of time together and the synergy will make the images I create for you even better!

  • I only take a limited number of weddings and sessions each year so if you want to work together, I recommend securing your spot ASAP. For weddings, at least 6-12 months ahead of your date.

  • Glad you asked! My wedding photography collections include a complimentary engagement session, wedding day coverage, travel within a 2 hour radius of Williamsburg, VA, hand-edited high-resolution images, an online gallery with digital download, and of course lots of love and fun! There’s also a chance to grab prints and albums whenever you’re ready.

  • Sure do! I keep my passport current and suitcase on standby. Exploring new places is my favorite and it’s even better when it includes capturing all your wedding events and shenanigans! I’ve got a baseline Destination Wedding collection but reach out so we can talk through specifics to make sure you’re getting everything you need.

  • Heck yes, included with every wedding collection complimentary. We’ll pick a place that means something to you as a couple, go on an adventure. It’s the perfect opportunity for you all to get some great images, get used to being in front of my camera, and for me to get to know you all better.

  • Send an email telling me you’re ready to do the thing and we’ll seal the deal with a signed contract and first payment. Once I have those two pieces, we’re official!

  • Payment of 50% of your total is required upfront with contract signing and the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding date or 2 weeks prior to your session date. However, I have been known to offer alternate payment plans when requested by the client so if you need to spread things out, let me know and we'll find something that works. Any pricing provided on my website or over email will not include applicable sales tax. I currently do not accept credit card or venmo. Payment is requested by check or bank transfer. All other pricing and fees are outlined in either my pricing guide pdf or via emailed custom quote.

  • Absolutely! Reach out and I’ll gladly share some galleries that align with your wedding plans (fall indoors vs. spring outdoors).

  • I do include a two photographers in my wedding collections! While I can definitely capture an entire wedding solo, I find having a second set of eyes on your wedding day allows capturing those magic moments from multiple perspectives or be in two places at once (like cocktail hour photos while I get family portraits.

    If you're having a more intimate wedding (50 guests or less), let's talk as having only me might totally work. Happy to share examples of solo shot weddings and weddings with a second.

  • My wedding collections start at "up to 9hrs" to reduce stress for my couples and provide enough time for my more documentary approach to telling the story of your day. If you need more than that, there is an option for 11hrs, though most local couples deem 9hrs enough. If you’re having a destination wedding or elopement, let’s talk about the best options for your event.

  • Happy to be consulted on your wedding timeline at any point in the planning process! Once you have ceremony and reception start times in place, reach out and I can make recommendations based on photo priorities. I highly recommend that my couples hire at least a "Day Of" wedding coordinator to help things run smoothly. It allows you to be guests at your wedding and your other vendors to focus on doing their best at their jobs.

    If you’re planning for a branding shoot, event photography, or other session that requires figuring out a timeline, I’m here for that too!

  • It’s not ironic, but I hear it’s good luck and ultimately part of the adventure that starts your married life! I roll with whatever the weather throws our way, ready for all the contingency plans, armed with umbrellas and creative ideas.

  • This is what rain dates are made for because we can you to have sunshiney happy photos! I always like to have a backup plan in place when we schedule your session so it’s no stress if the forecast isn’t cooperating.

  • Waaaaaaay too many since I take a more documentary approach to photographing weddings. I find I come back with 2,000-6,000 images depending on the day. After culling through those images for the best ones (and cutting out all the blinks and blips), I typically deliver between 700 to 1200 images in your final online gallery.

  • I carefully go through all the pictures during the editing process, selecting the best ones. Then it’s time for color correction, cropping, straightening, and all the other hands on magic that it takes to create your final images. Once I’m finished, I’ll upload high resolution pictures to an online gallery and you’ll get that exciting email with your gallery link and special PIN number for downloading the whole gallery (and individual images).

  • My delivery time for a session is 6 weeks and weddings take 12 weeks. I do all the editing myself using Lightroom and other tools to do things color-correct, straighten, and do light touch-ups as needed. You'll receive your edited images in an online gallery and be able to download them from there.

    You can choose to either order prints through the gallery store or take them to your own photo lab of choice (I'm happy to make recommendations). And you can definitely share away with the digital images, that's what they are for -- passing along to the friends and family that helped you make those memories.

  • I do offer albums and can share pricing and options upon request. You'd select your album size and other details (color, etc.). From there, you would create a favorites folder in your online gallery for me to pull images from when creating the layout. You would get to review the layout and make one round of revision requests before the design is submitted for production.
