Wedding Photography | Virginia Beach
Christine & Cleon were married on May 19th on the picturesque back deck at the Lesner Inn. Just as they said their “I dos” a boat named ‘Good Fortune’ happened to pass by with honks and cheers. It was perfect – their day had been full of good fortune despite the weather’s attempt otherwise. Christine & Cleon were originally not suppose to do a First Look, wanting to wait to see each other for the first time going down the aisle. However, after watching the forecast throughout the week, we all decided would best to create a “Plan B” rain schedule just in case since portraits on the beach were really important to them. It looked extra threatening on the wedding day and Christine decided it was the right call to do portraits before the ceremony. We headed down to the beach with Cleon in place waiting patiently and Christine made it about half way across the sand before emotion got the best of her. But as soon as she wrapped her arms around Cleon, the biggest smile washed over her face – the release of nerves, comfort and just overwhelming happiness. Seeing a moment like that between a couple lets you know they are meant to be together, that they complete each other and it was hands down, the best part of their day!
After their beautiful ceremony the weather gods smiled on us again and the rain cleared with enough time for all of us to adventure over to the beach for another round of portraits. We had so much fun with their family and wedding party in the perfect evening light with a few rich blue storm clouds behind too.
You’ll also be able to tell from the pictures below that Christine poured over every detail of her day – from the sweet and personal gift she gave to Cleon to the amazing signs around their reception – even seashells on the stairs leading up to their ceremony space. With help from the team at As You Wish in planning and executing all these amazing pieces, everything was just beautiful!
So congratulations again to Christine, a fellow JMU Grad (go Duuuuukes) and her amazing husband Cleon. Thank you for choosing The Girl Tyler to capture your wedding day (and for your patience while we caught up on our blog…) Cheers to you two for many happy years to come!
